About Jill McAndrew
As Data & Operations Coordinator, Jill supports the Delaware SBDC through key services and specialty programs. Working closely with the SBDC lead office, she leverages both quantitative and qualitative data to drive strategic and innovative organizational decisions. Jill’s work has made a significant impact on how the SBDC responsibly collects, processes, and uses data at every juncture, enabling our team to operate efficiently. Her previous work experience includes serving as a Community Navigator Program Coordinator, which ultimately shows her commitment and expertise in data analysis, client experience, and operational management.
Holding a B.A. in Media Communications from the University of Delaware, a UX Design Certificate from DesignLab, and both AI-U and Google AI Essentials certifications, Jill is up to date with the latest in artificial intelligence and design solutions. Impact on Delaware SBDC
Sarah Mailloux, Former Associate State Director of the Delaware SBDC, reflected on Jillian’s performance since stepping into her role as Data & Operations Coordinator, stating:
“We are so lucky to have Jill on the SBDC team. It is rare to find someone with so much heart and dedication. She puts 100% into any task assigned and is always willing to lend a hand where it is needed. Her data analysis acumen lifted us to new heights this year, better informing our strategy and operations, as well as preparing us for success in our Accreditation, a rigorous review process that takes place every five years. Jill’s efforts over the last year have truly stood out and support her selection for this prestigious award.”
Reflecting on her role with Delaware SBDC, Jill shared how important data is when it comes to supporting the small business ecosystem:
“One of the best aspects of my role is being able to present data to the team and have an open discussion about ways we can continue to improve. Getting feedback from the advisors who work with small business owners day in and day out always makes me look at the data from a new perspective and provides invaluable insight.”
On her nomination for State Star, Jill shared:
“I’m incredibly honored to receive the 2025 America’s SBDC State Star Award. Helping small businesses grow and succeed has been a long-time passion of mine and every day I get to build the processes and tools that allow our team of advisors to do what they do best: serve Delaware’s small businesses. I’m grateful to work within such an innovative and collaborative culture that leads with passion and supports the data-driven decisions and processes that make us better equipped to serve.”
As we honor Jillian for her outstanding dedication to the Delaware SBDC and her efforts in championing small business success, we at the DSBDC are excited to witness her continued journey and the lasting positive difference she will bring to the Delaware community.
Congratulations, Jill, on a well-deserved achievement!
