Before Junika Woodall welcomed her first participants through the doors of Woodstone Adult Day in November 2023, she had already spent months laying the foundation for a business built on compassion, care, and community.

Located in New Castle County, Delaware, Woodstone Adult Day is more than a day center—it’s a vibrant, supportive environment where seniors and adults with disabilities can thrive. The center offers a full schedule of enriching activities like music, puzzles, trivia, arts and crafts, mental stimulation, and even dance. Its team of certified, experienced professionals ensures each participant is cared for like family, all while promoting independence and social connection.

Opening Woodstone Adult Day wasn’t an overnight decision—it was the result of careful planning, a deep understanding of community needs, and a desire to create a place where seniors and adults with disabilities could thrive. Along that journey, Junika found invaluable guidance and support from Lisette Cabrera-Galloza, advisor at the Delaware SBDC.
