Rainbow Records Website Revamp!

Published On December 14, 2020

Rainbow Records has been a long established business in Newark, DE. Starting back in 1979 at Grainery Station, Rainbow Records saw expansion to two stores, the release of its own Christmas album, resizing to a boutique-style shop, Main Street construction, and continued outreach – all culminating in its expansion to a new location at Pomeroy Station, just blocks up from 54 E Main Street.

Rainbow Records has been a great client for the SBDC, but also was able to participate in the Lerner College’s MIS Capstone Projects Course this last Spring. Senior UD students were able to revamp their website so that is more engaging and includes more options. Todd and Miranda, the owners of Rainbow Records, were highly impressed with the work of their MIS student team.

Todd had the following insight to share from his experience:

“The website is great, the students were great. The previous website was tragic, but the students were very dedicated, meeting with me multiple times a week. Everyone at the SBDC was awesome, but the students deserve special recognition for their hard work. I would highly recommend working with the MIS Projects teams.”

Check out their new website to shop their gear, listen to the Rainbow Records radio, and check out upcoming events! With their expanded location, Rainbow Records will he hosting benefit concerts every Saturday through October. They have partnered with businesses in the area to provide live music from 5pm to 8pm each Saturday as a fundraiser for non-profits in the area.
