Delaware SBDC Awarded $200,000 FAST Grant

The Delaware Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is proud to announce the award of $200,000 in the form of a FAST Grant, awarded by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

SUPPORTING NEW AND GROWING BUSINESSES

FAST Grants are awarded to organizations supporting startups through specialized training, mentoring, and technical assistance under the Federal and State Technology (FAST) Partnership Program. Funding from this program enables the Delaware Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to to further our mission of supporting innovative small businesses. This grant, active until at least 2029, will directly impact the Delaware SBDC’s service capacity as we continue providing no-cost, confidential advising to innovation-focused entrepreneurs.

SERVICES & SUPPORT

As businesses explore and apply for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, known as America’s Seed Fund, the Delaware SBDC’s FAST-powered team is here to help. In 2024 alone, Delaware SBDC clients have secured over $6 million in federal and state grants – with FAST funding, we are geared up to deliver even more impact in 2025.

Technology Business Development Manager Lou DiNetta and Technology Business Advisor Elyce Hall will continue working hands-on with clients, offering expert advice, industry connections and resources, and training. As a bridge between federal funding sources and eager entrepreneurs, Lou and Elyce are excited to continue developing and presenting programs like iDEa Lab and SBIR Resource that connect businesses with the resources they need to grow and succeed.
