Delaware Community Navigator Program Mourns the Loss of Rysheema Dixon
The Delaware Small Business Development Center (SBDC) family is deeply saddened by the passing of Rysheema Dixon. Rysheema was a recent addition to the SBDC team, serving as a business advisor for the newly launched Community Navigator Program.
In the broader Delaware community, it is clear that Rysheema had an immeasurable impact on everyone she was able to support – in both her own ventures and in her role as a Navigator Advisor, she was known to deeply care for others.
When asked to describe Rysheema’s impact, Denita Henderson, Navigator Program Director, shared,
“When I was charged with launching the Navigator Program, one of the first people that came to mind was Rysheema. I reached out to ask her to join our team and she responded with an enthusiastic and resounding ‘yes’. Rysheema jumped in and immediately started working with us to deliver services to businesses to help them start, grow, and succeed. She always discharged her duties with the utmost care and used her time with us to further her lifelong mission of uplifting others.”
Troy Farmer, Navigator Program Manager, added, “Rysheema’s community support was always met with congeniality, empathy, and compassion. She was a true servant leader!”
Rysheema will be missed and forever cherished in our memories as a champion for community and economic empowerment. Our thoughts and prayers remain with her family and loved ones.
