Our Team

Marisa Tranchitella Foltz joined the Delaware SBDC in 2025 as the Cybersecurity Program Manager, leading the organization’s efforts in human risk management and security awareness training. With a blend of cybersecurity and education expertise, she pilots training initiatives throughout Delaware and nationally through America’s SBDC. Her work spans crucial programs like the North Star Cybersecurity Program, a national model for business consultant cyber education, and Data Assured, the Delaware SBDC’s resources tailored to entrepreneurs, ensuring businesses are equipped to navigate the digital landscape securely. 

Marisa holds two degrees from Drexel University: Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and a Master’s degree in Education (Go Dragons!). Her career began at Intealth (formerly the Educational Commission of Foreign Medical Graduates), where she was one of the original hires of the new Information Security team. She spent 6 years building the information security program from scratch, focusing on governance, risk, and compliance. Marisa also works with the Work-Based Learning Alliance as a cybersecurity industry expert and mentor to high school students though an introductory cybersecurity internship. Outside of work, Marisa enjoys spending her time with her family and pets, including her two cats and dog.
