Success Story: Beach Runners

Published By: The Delaware SBDC

Autry Shannon, the creator of Beach Runners, has transformed a simple idea into a successful business. As the proud owner of Beach Runners, Autry has been providing beach concierge services since the business opened its doors in May 2022. With aspirations to expand their services to surrounding areas this year, Shannon credits much of her success to the invaluable support and guidance provided by Lissette Cabrera-Galloza, her SBDC advisor.

Recognizing the need for a hassle-free beach experience, Beach Runners’ unique concept of offering beach concierge services has been a hit. From umbrellas and chairs to beach games and picnic setups, Beach Runners ensures that clients can simply relax and enjoy their time on the beach without the stress of cleaning up afterward.

Autry’s dedication coupled with expert guidance from the SBDC, has been instrumental in the success of Beach Runners. Autry acknowledges the pivotal role that Lissette Cabrera-Galloza has played in her entrepreneurial journey. She describes the SBDC advisor as a constant source of support, offering guidance on various aspects of the business.

“The SBDC has helped me with every step of the way from opening my business, to which insurance company is best for my company. They can find the answer to just about any question you have.”

Shannon also praised Lissette Cabrera-Galloza, her SBDC advisor, for helping her through the process. Lissette’s expertise has been instrumental in guiding Beach Runners to success. Autry explains,
