When Dr. Agyenim Amoako and Patience Agbeviadey established Firm Foundation Health and Wellness Center in 2024, they envisioned creating a different kind of healthcare experience for the Dover community.

Located in Dover, the Firm Foundation Health and Wellness Center provides services including chronic disease management, mental health and counseling, minor procedures, immigration medical exams, DOT exams, and preventive care. By considering the interconnected aspects of a patient’s physical and mental health, the team works to create individualized care plans designed to support long-term well-being. For the founders, building the Center meant more than opening a medical practice. They were creating an organization grounded in their belief that quality healthcare should be compassionate, accessible, and centered on the individual. Their mission reflects that philosophy: to provide high-quality, integrated primary and mental health care to every patient, regardless of background. They hope to serve as a trusted healthcare provider in Kent County and help create a healthier Dover. As a new business, turning that vision into a sustainable operation required careful planning and informed decision-making. Today, Firm Foundation continues to welcome patients and expand its presence in the Dover community.
