Margo Reign
Business Advisor (Part-Time)
Margo Reign, Business Advisor at the SBDC, brings a wealth of financial expertise and community dedication to her role. With two tenures at the Delaware SBDC, spanning from 1997-2005 and 2014 to the present, she has helped to prepare loan packages, conduct cost analysis to improve profitability, and prepare projections. She excels with specialized knowledge in SBA 504 lending. Having established many relationships with organizations and business leaders in the state, Margo spearheaded the Annual Grants & Loans Fair in partnership with Delaware Business Times to ensure businesses have the information they need to succeed.
Margo has over 20 years of experience as a commercial lender with various local lenders, including Artisans’ Bank, Mellon Bank, Bank of Delaware (before its merger with PNC), and Wilmington Economic Development Corporation (WEDCO). Margo is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Delaware’s Lerner Business School, where she teaches Small Business Management and has taught Introduction to Business.
She holds a B.S. in public administration and an MBA from Virginia Tech. Margo is active in her community, holding leadership positions on several boards and commissions, including the Executive Committee of Delaware Community Development Corporation and serves as the Chair of the Planning Commission for the City of New Castle. She also participates in the joint finance committee at Westminster Presbyterian Church and has previously served on other notable boards.
