Ariel Gruswitz

Associate State Director

Ariel brings extensive local and national experience in innovation and entrepreneurship-driven economic development to her role at Delaware’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Ariel holds a J.D. from the University of Maryland Law School and a B.A. from the University of Virginia. To complement her formal training as a lawyer, Ariel brings expertise in economic development, science and technology policy, and stakeholder relations to the table.

During her time at Delaware Prosperity Partnership and, later, as a consultant, Ariel has worked closely on research priorities and economic development strategies with the UD community, including OEIP, SBDC, the Horn Program, the Delaware Innovation Space, the Delaware Technology Park, DTP@STAR, and the Institute for Public Administration. Having served on the board of the Delaware Bioscience Association since 2019, Ariel has worked closely with the state’s public and private sectors since 2018 to establish Delaware as a leader in small businesses, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
