Our Team

Prior to joining Delaware’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC), John Ercan served as a Business Mentor for SCORE Delaware. In this role, he guided entrepreneurs to launch their ventures and map out practical growth strategies.

Beyond his consulting experience, John’s background includes work in international European apparel and sports retail companies. In these positions, he operated as an intrapreneur, securing major commercial agreements to bring international brands into the corporate portfolio as strategic partners, while working closely with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

At the Delaware SBDC, John aims to serve as a collaborative and supportive partner. He helps local business owners look at their everyday hurdles and turn them into clear, manageable action plans.

He holds a B.S. in Economics from Istanbul University and earned his M.B.A. from the New York Institute of Technology.

Outside of the office, John enjoys cooking, running, biking, and kayaking.
