SBIR/STTR First Steps
Now that you’ve started your own business, accessing federal SBIR/STTR grants is a great way to fund your tech start-up.
Once you’ve identified an open solicitation you’d like to respond to with an appropriate agency, you’ll first want to complete all the required registrations. Note that each agency has different requirements, as outlined below. Please allow at least 4-6 weeks to complete the registration process.

*DoD does not require SAM registration until time of award, but encourages applicants to get it when submitting.
*This table is current as of 3/8/2016 and is intended to demonstrate typical registrations for each agency. Before applying, check the specific agency’s website to see if they have changed their required registrations.
