For 25 years, Analytical Biological Services (ABS) has been at the forefront of providing highly collaborative and customized services and bioreagents for drug discovery, biomarkers research, and medical diagnostics. In the past, ABS has tracked sales call data and manually generated reports to track Key Performance Indications (KPIs). They recognized the need to automate data tracking and reporting, but weren’t sure how to approach it.


The main challenge for ABS was to improve the efficacy and efficiency in sales team management through IT Integration and report automation. Fine Line Websites & IT Consulting worked with Analytical Biological Services to integrate their call logs to their ERP system in order to track calls made and received with each client. Based on an excel report that the client was manually generating each week, a script was created to generate a more robust weekly emailed spreadsheet report. This integrated call tracking and automated reporting process provides a clear picture to management of how the activity of sales staff are impacting the organization.


Analytical Biological Services now has their call logs integrated with their ERP system and have begun to receive weekly email reports. This automated reporting has eliminated the time the management team spent manually generating reports. These automated reports also provide ABS with more robust, and more accurate, data to help them make informed decisions.
